"Serious fun mixed with the joy of faith!" "What do you get when you cross Wonder Woman and Hermoine Granger with St. Katharine Drexel and St. Clare of Assisi? You'll have to read this unique book to find out! Maria Morera Johnson’s love of films is eclipsed only by her love of books. In her latest offering, Super Girls and Halos, she introduces a series of gutsy women who help us explore what is good in our own souls. Even though I’m not the science-fiction geek or literature professor that Johnson is, I loved her unexpected and eclectic pairings of intriguing heroines of the screen and the page alongside inspiring saints of the Church. This PG-rated mingling of fiction, films, and faith stories is a fab follow up to My Badass Book of Saints! It’s serious fun mixed with the joy of faith!" ~Pat Gohn, Author of Blessed, Beautiful, and Bodacious "With wit and wisdom, Maria Morera Johnson pairs the excitement and adventure of fictional heroines with the integrity and tenacity of true heroines who walked this earth. This clever combination packs a punch, providing us with a powerful lesson on righteousness and inspiring us to live with the confidence needed to become virtuous heroines and heroic saints. A must-read for anyone looking to tap into her supernatural, God-given powers!" ~ Kelly Wahlquist, Founder of WINE: Women In the New Evangelization and editor of Walk in Her Sandals Find the Super Girls and Halos Book Club Conversation and Resources HERE!!

The Mother of Jesus is Wonderfully Real contains two things: a letter from a young girl, Isabel, who wonders if Mary is real, and a beautiful response from Father Paul Murray, O.P., whose answer is simple, powerful, deep, and true. Father Paul writes to the heart of Isabel, speaking directly to her, yet speaking to all of us, young and old. Alyssa Bormes writes a foreword explaining the heartache of her young niece Isabel as she one day questioned the reality of Mary, and then the healing Isabel received from Father’s letter. Father’s beautiful words are accompanied by the captivating watercolors painted by Bernadette Gockowski. Her work enhances the book, which is already full of wonder. This is a book to give to every child you know – and one to be pondered in your own heart.
- There is a dedication page for you to present it as a gift to someone you love
- It is a hardcover book with a dust jacket, becoming an instant keepsake
- The spiritual lessons of the book are breathtaking
- Childlike wonder is accompanied by solid theology
- This book is truly a study in God’s Truth, Beauty, and Goodness!

“Walking with Mary: A Scripture Study with WINE” is a meditation on God’s word from Genesis to Revelation designed to bring us closer to the daughter of the Father, the mother of the Son, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit— the Blessed Virgin Mary. Each week, we will focus on Scripture passage about Mary, reading and praying it daily and recording what the Lord is saying to us in our Called by Name WINE Journal. We will reflect on words of wisdom from our sisters in Christ about that Scripture and respond to the questions provided for a lively small group discussion. As with all things WINE, we encourage you to gather once a week to rejoice and share your experience with the Word of God, encourage one another along the journey, and watch the video of the author of the Scripture reflection.

Heidi Hess Saxton’s Advent with St. Teresa of Calcutta captures the humble yet faith-filled spirit of this great lady of Calcutta. Each day of the Advent seasons, readers are invited to pray, and to consider what they might offer the Lord as their gift to him during this Christmas season. St. Teresa’s example calls readers to consider how they might love more deeply, surrender more completely, and let go of all the things they do not need, so there is more room to receive from the Lord all he wishes them to have. For those who wander in darkness, St. Teresa of Calcutta is a true patron of joy yet to be discovered.
