WINE Called By Name Journal available here
Over the next eight weeks, as we embark on our journey of Walking with Mary, we will inevitably encounter “a-ha moments” from our time with Scripture, the reflections, or our sisters in Christ. These special gifts from the Holy Spirit will look different to each of us, even as we read the same Bible passages and reflections and listen to the same videos and webinars. ~ Allison Gingras (Introduction Reflection)
Reading EZ 34:12 the other day in morning prayer, I could identify with the sheep in cloudy and dark circumstances, due to the chaos that is in our world today. Yet it gave me hope, because Jesus is our Shepherd who just holds us close to him and He’s in control. As His sheep I need not worry about anything.
It’s at times like this that I feel scripture is just speaking directly to me. and it is usually saying, “Do not be afraid! I got this!!”
Love this Robbin. I have such an affinity to Jesus as the shepherd. MOST shepherds were fiercely loyal to the care of their sheep’s well-being and safety. Knowing Jesus watches over us with even more care and attention gives me so much peace too!!
As tying this into my scripture reflection on James 1: 2-8, the introduction calls to mind how not only do we need (I need) greater trust in God to persevere in faith and gain His Wisdom on current circumstances, greater trust in Mary’s intercession for us as Her children is, also, very much in need. If we have that trust in Mary’s intercession and love, She will do the rest for us in gaining the virtues of perseverance and faith!
Amen Barbara Ann!! Mary’s intercession is such an incredible Gift from God!!
Thank you, Allison, and thank you to you and Kelly for a great intro webinar last night! I watched the replay today!!
glad you enjoyed it! WE definitely had fun preparing everyone to begin this unique study!
As fall comes upon us I look out to the trees as they begin to change their colors and prepare for the change in themselves. As we read Proverbs 3:5-6 I think of how Jesus always invites us to trust in his word, being able to have faith in the changes He has instore for us and how He continually holds our hand in our day to day journey. As we trust in His plan for us I embrace the beautiful blessings of His knowledge that changes our hearts and the fellowship of those around us. I feel so blessed to be part of this fall book club and to be engages with all the women who will come to the well to hear Jesus through our walk with Mary his mother. Blessings to you,
Lindalee
Amen, Lindalee, I LOVE this visual.
I love getting to know people and also was listening to the replay in my car with my boys and when it was done the boys asked when will next week be! I love when the Holy Spirit works through them!
That is SO cool Heather! As Kelly said in the webinar (and I think she was quoting Alyssa Bormes lol), God is such a show-off!!
