The Friendship Project: The Catholic Woman’s Guide to Making and Keeping Fabulous, Faith-Filled Friends
Friends Reflect
When developing the WINE companion journal for The Friendship Project,
we thought it would be fun to include reflections on each chapter written by friends.
Our friend-pairs collaborated in their writing and share inspiring, heart-warming, and Spirit-led reflections.
Practicing Prudence
The story of Blessed Jutta and St. Hildegard touched us deeply as we saw the gift of mentorship of another friend in developing our gifts for the Lord.
Although both of us had no training in writing, public speaking or event planning, through the gift of friendship of the other woman God placed in our lives, we were given the tools needed to write two books together, speak to women across the country and help plan and run the Columbus Catholic Women’s Conference which spiritually feeds over 3,000 women annually.
Virtue of Prudence
Through the virtue of prudence and the gift of friendship, we are able to do what God asks us to do, and the burden is not heavy, instead it is light! We read in scripture, (Matthew 11:28-30)
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
This is a portion of the inspiring reflection by Michele Faehnle and Emily Jaminet on the virtue of Prudence and friendship found in The Friendship Project companion journal, available only through WINE. Purchase here: http://bit.ly/2LiJlEi
