Lord, Open the eyes and ears of our hearts during this journey so we can hear you and see you in others and recognize the gifts with which you have blessed us.
Amen Nancy!
Lord, I thank You for beginning this process in our lives. Please bless all participants in this Lenten Book Club.
Can’t wait til my book and journal arrive. I hope the book and journal will open the final events of Jesus’ life to me.
Genie , I have both book (on my 3rd reading ha ha) and journal -and I can guarantee it will OPEN the final days of Jesus’ life like nothing you’ve ever read!
Lord we are becoming closer to you and at times I feel so far away. Please help to see you in those around us and help us to get through this blessed time
Amen
To Nancy and Allison….beautiful. Both of you mirror my prayers. I so want to love with God’s perfect love and see others through His eyes. But… with my failings, there are those times I feel so distant to Him.
Oh Karan YOU are not alone!! I have to fight some days to feel close to God. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts; it means the world to me to hear from the others sharing this journey!
When you feel distant, it is God letting you know you are moving away from Him, rather than toward Him – a gentle suggestion that you re-examine your acts and your motives. God is constantly saying, “Turn around! Look at Me!” These feelings are one of His most effective methods. He is showing His love for you by showing you that He wants you to be nearer to Him.
St. Bartholomew is one of my favorites – the blessing of having no duplicity; that is my prayer!
