Today’s Thought from Scripture: Zechariah 2:10-11
“Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for your goodness’ sake, O Lord!”
“Am I not your mother?” Our Lady entreated Juan Diego. Today the Church commemorates her appearance and the miracle of Juan Diego’s rose-covered tilma, fully preserved in the shrine near Mexico City. And yet, today’s reflection reminds us that the test of motherly love is not in the miracle, but in the faithful presence that perseveres to the end. (ASTC 118-119).
How can your motherly presence be someone’s miracle today?
Heavenly Father,
sometimes life would be much easier
if you sent an angel to stand in my way
each time I was about to go down a wrong path!
Instead you wait patiently
for me to ask for help and forgiveness.
Thank you for your mercy and your love.
St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!
