“Merciful and gracious is the Lord, slow to anger and abounding in kindness” ~Psalm 103:8
I was arguing with my daughter as we drove through a snow storm. I don’t even remember what the fight was about. But as we raised our voices, hurling angry words, our SUV began spinning on the ice. We ended up in a ditch. While waiting for help to come, we hugged each other, realizing how close we had come to death.
“Anger got the best of us,” I told my daughter.
The psalms tell us that the Lord is “slow to anger.” This passage invite us to take a deep breath before we lash out at someone.
Today, consider following God’s anger management plan. Be merciful, slow to anger, and kind.
