Two insightful and popular modern women saints – St. Faustina and St. Therese of Lisieux – share with us how God is love and mercy. In the book Praying with Faustina, “the core of Faustina’s spirituality was her awareness of Christ’s invitation to dwell in his merciful love. In return she was to love him with all her strength and to demonstrate love and mercy to all God’s people.” St. Therese draws us closer to Jesus by asking only that we trust in God who is nothing but mercy and love.
Last year during an intense study on Divine Mercy, I was inspired on the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday to write the following prayer blessing to help remember the tremendous gifts of God’s grace bestowed on us through his mercy.
