The officers answered, No man ever spoke like this man!  John 7: 14

A few years ago, a friend gave me an old King James Bible. She told me it was a “red-letter edition.”  I was intrigued as she explained that the inspiration for the red printing came from Luke 22:20:  “This cup is the new testament in my blood, which I shed for you.”

While I’m fond of my Catholic Bible, I often use my red-letter Bible during difficult times. The red words of Jesus remind me of his sacrifice on the cross.  And I can understand why the guards in today’s readings said, No man ever spoke like this man!
