So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. Luke 15:20
Can you relate to the prodigal son? Perhaps you’ve been living in a land of self-indulgence. Maybe your actions have impacted your finances or even a few relationships. If you’re wallowing in the mud somewhere, soiled by sin and shame, it’s never too late to change.
Simply go home to the mercy of God. As you make your way back, imagine God waiting for you on the front porch of your heart. Can you see him running towards you, with swift steps, his arms wide open?
There’s no need to worry about condemnation. Your homecoming will be celebrated with a kiss.
