sunBehold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death.  Matthew 20:18

In today’s Gospel, we see Jesus anticipating his own death. Surely he felt anxiety about what was to come. But empowered by the love of his heavenly Father, he courageously endured the cross.  For our sake, he accomplished what he was sent to do.

Webster’s Dictionary defines courage as “mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty…”

Are you anticipating something difficult?   Find your moral strength.  The God of courage is with you.
