Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be your name… (Matthew 6:9)

What comes to mind when you hear “Our Father?”  Perhaps you imagine a bearded grandfather enthroned in the clouds.  Maybe you envision an overbearing parent, ready to punish your sins.  If you had a father who was absent, aloof, or abusive, the words might trigger hurtful memories.   In this season of grace, imagine your heavenly father stretching out his arms to you.    Close your eyes and see the kindness in his eyes and feel his complete acceptance.  Hear him say:  “All is forgiven.  You are my beloved child.”
